Beaches closest to My Corfu Scooters!

We are located in Ermones, Corfu.  Which is Mid-West Corfu.  We are very fortunate to be in this are because it means that we are close to everything.  We are in the middle.  However, 5 of the closest beaches around us are:

Ermones Beach: A medium size, mostly sand quiet beach. The closest beach of this list to us.   Ermones beach is mostly visited by the locals to the right of the beach and the guests of the hotel Grand Mediterraneo to the left.  There are plenty of other hotels and airbnb in the area also.

There is a boat rental company here where you can rent a boat or a canoe or take a taxi boat to a near by beach. https://ermonesboats.com/  They also have a rib boat which can take you on a tour far away to Paxos! https://corfurib.com/

Glyfada Beach:  Your typical “Miami Beach”.  A long sandy beach with beach bars, sunbeds, resturants, hotels water sports and more.  Glyfada beach is easily accessibly and one of Corfu’s favorite beaches.

Kontogialo Beach: A similar beach to Glyfada with golden sand and beach bars all around, the only difference is that it is a little bit more difficult to get to and a little bit smaller. With a 50cc scooter you might have a problem getting back up with 2 people!

Mirtiotissa Beach:  A smaller beach, but very beautiful! Mirtiotissa Beach is one of Corfu’s most famous beach for being a nudist beach. It has golden sand and the hill down is pretty steep so the way back up with 2 people on a 50cc will be a bit difficult.  A125cc scooter won’t have a problem or 1person on a 50cc won’t have a problem.  To go down by car the only thing is there is not too much available parking.   Other than that, there is the Mirtiotissa Monastery close by which is a nice place to visit and if you are a hiker there are many trails around the area. Even to some hidden beaches!

Giali Beach:  Giali Beach is one of our favorite beaches.  Giali beach is only accessible by foot (hiking down) or by boat.  The beach is full of small pebbles, walking on them doesn’t hurt at all and comes off easily.  So bringing sand with you won’t be a problem.  The water is crystal clear and you won’t have service at this beach so you will be really off the grid!
